Dog Days is the fourth novel in the popular Diary of a Wimpy Kid series first published in 2009. This exciting and funny teen series explores the life and adventures of a middle school boy, Greg Heffley. The novels are the records of events he keeps in his diary, which he does because his mom told him to. Besides the hand writing, Greg also logs in his experiences in simple cartoon drawings. In Dog Days, while most kids are having fun outside in the great warm weather during the summer vacation, Greg is staying, or hiding, inside his house. With the blinds closed, he spends his time playing video games. He is living his ideal summer, his dreams of holidays, which is doing nothing and having no obligations or rules.
